The Dorm had so much impact on my life - Phnom Penh - Nov 2017
Monday, 6 November 2017
We are very happy to bring you the latest update of our recent fieldworkers travelling to Phnom Penh where we currently have our two dormitories.
Baptisms
There have been two new sisters recently baptized, Sis. Sodarany and Sis. Rachana .
Sis. Sodarany was a BEC student and has been studying the Bible for over 3 years. Sis. Rachana was a Sunday School student and has been studying the Bible for 10 years. She has also encouraged her two youngest brothers to come and study the Bible every Sunday.
These are some of the results of spreading God’s work via the Bethezer dormitory project and the Bible Education Centre.
The Phnom Penh Bible Education Centre
The BEC runs in conjunction with the dorms, but is coordinated by the ACBM. The sisters gathered together to join a Sisters’ Class program. This is what one of the women wrote:
“Sis Jackie has come from NZ has come back and she took us through a talk on “Daughters of the King”. We learnt that God and Jesus want to change us. They want us to be like them and to make this happen we need two things.
We first need to want them to come and live in our hearts then we need to destroy our wrong motives. I must try to crucify my own thinking so there will be space for God and Jesus.”
All were overjoyed by the opportunity they shared and what they learnt and formed a close bond of fellowship between them.
Personal Witness
This is what one of dormers, now a brother in Christ, had to say about his experience at the dorms:
"The Dorm had so much impact on my life. There was so much love from everyone. So much example. So much knowledge to be learned from each other. For me, I was so grateful for that great place, that I could really grow and learn the Fathers’ words. The dorm was my home and I will never ever forget it.”
