CAMBODIA—Phnom Penh Dormitories Update
Saturday, 24 August 2019
The residents of the dormitories recently had some cooking and nutrition lessons. Topics covered good health, hygiene, preparation and cooking lessons to compliment the cooking of their own meals each day. When the families of the residents come to visit, a meal is prepared and shared with all.
A Trip to the Kampong Speu farm was held and students were involved and happy to help in the planting of bananas. These outings assist in team building, and learning of new skills for all dormers.
The dormitory has a tight budget. Thanks to the WCF and other donors, we have managed to maintain costs, although increasing rental costs and inflation threaten the extent to which we can provide a holistic support to students and preclude further development of the dormitory and Bethezer programs. With costs rising, it becomes more imperative we find regular donations to maintain the work of the dormitory.
Please consider a monthly donation to help sustain Bethezer’s Phnom Penh Dormitory project. Another alternative is to consider sponsoring a dormitory student for their studies to stay at the dormitory with a scholarship. These scholarships allow us to help the poorest of students in rural Cambodia. We pray for God’s continued blessings on this project.
